How to Bake Cupcakes

Baking cupcakes can be a fun and delicious activity! Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to bake cupcakes:

1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3. In a separate large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.

4. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula as needed.

5. Stir in the vanilla extract.

6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

7. Using a spoon or an ice cream scoop, divide the cupcake batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.

8. Bake in the p. reheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.

9. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.

10. Once the cupcakes are completely cooled, you can frost them with your favorite frosting or decorate them as desired.
